Frig Stu,that link brought me to fb and my messgr stalkers will see I was there!Maybe I fled quick enough. Makes me sad thinking about all the nice expensive books that were only a few hundred dollars back in my beginning collector days. But at twelve, two three hundred dollars for a Hulk issue one was almost as unreachable as the prices today.ALMOST.I could have saved up that paper route money a lot easier than the thousands I'd need to today without rent and food ect bills.

I"m going to make a Modern post This book should kick ass, I would read it. That's a great creative team reunited. Yeah, it's a good team. I still own Stormwatch and The Authority.

Same for me. Back in those days even paying $20 or more for one issue was a big deal. I had no problem spending money on a bunch of comics but to allocate that much for just one was something I rarely did.

I remember vividly the feeling when I first spent 100$ on a single comic. It was Harley Yee,the year was 1990.Actually it was a two book deal, but they both would have added up to 160$.I was a persistent young teen.TTA 48 likely still a 9.6 and ASM 46 a vf plus I think, been a while since I opened that box.

I've never spent more than $100 on one comic in my life One comic I did spend $100 on is one of my Hulk #181s that's at least a 9.4 I also purchassed a Showcase #22, Green Lantern #1 and #7 together for a total of $250. Also one time I bought 7 ECs for $150 from Hal the Bookie (Jeffro should know who he is). Disclaimer: I buy mostly low grade and many of said books were purchased 25 years ago.

I buy nearly all low grade as well.Back then, for me here at least, seeing high grade SA Marvel was a real rare treat.Seeing the first Porcupine like that blew my mind,I'd been searching for a while-I collected villains firsts-and even earlier Marvels like that were pretty uncommon here too.

Huh. Must be something on your end, the link goes to polygon.com for me. My dumbo. It was Ditch's link sorry. Here's a trick you should know. Hover over the link and then look in the lower left hand corner of your screen - it shows the actual link address. Helpful if you want to stay off Facebook or other sites. Also, you can solve this by logging out of Facebook. Then if you accidentally click on a link, it just takes you to the login screen.
