My 2nd SDCC and again no comic books for my collection. Last time were just the freebies that come with being there. This time I got a Red Sonja #1. I'm not sure which #1, and I don't really care- It's a wraparound sketch cover by Tim Vigil (currently my favorite convention artist). The other reading material was only purchased because the pretty girl working the booth for the writer/artist behind her was very good at her job but the story seems interesting enough to try (SILVER 1-4 by Stephan Franck, plus a companion book written after the others that fits between #3 & #4). Otherwise I purchased art, prints, and bugged people for sigs (not on books).

Yeah, it was expensive (purchased from Adams), but now I have Adams art that isn't an 8.5x11 profile sketch.

Thanks! I wanted Jae Lee to do a Hulk vs The Thing, but unless I misunderstood, a multi-character wraparound sketch cover with background would cost just under $1800 No.

Awesome pieces Siggy. The Vigil pages are . Yeah, those are terrific. As much as I like the Freddie Williams pieces and the Thing vs. Hulk, that 2nd winged Bat-creature is "wow". I wouldn't worry about not picking up any comics after seeing the art you(Siggy) brought back.
