Some recent books I picked up. They're not in the best shape, but they were cheap. Wow! Look at the size of that Fire pit!

That's a great batch of books! Of course I'm partial to the BA stuff, but always liked the Biro covers, too. Wow! Look at the size of that Fire pit! You're not kidding either! Why, I'll bet that'll come close to 400 square feet once it's finished. Thanks Steve. These books were pretty cheap. I rather pay $5 for a 50+ year old book in rough shape versus a NM modern book. These are much cooler.

Lastly is a book I've been trying to find without having to pay an inflated price. Minimum ask for this book was $2K. The purple labels hurts the book, but it definitely helped with me getting a decent price for the book. Captain Marvel Adventures #18 - 1st Mary Marvel

Why is Elvis digging a grave? And why is that lady bending over to look through the middle pane when's she perfectly capable of looking through the top one. Because "Golden Age".

Why is Elvis digging a grave? And why is that lady bending over to look through the middle pane when's she perfectly capable of looking through the top one. She was walking quickly past the window because she really had to pee, but stopped dead in her tracks upon seeing him through the top panes. Her inertia caused her top heavy torso to continue forward. However, the cover doesn't show that she no longer needs the bathroom.

Thanks Bats. I've been looking for this book for a couple years and every time I found a copy it was priced way more that what I wanted to pay for the book. This book was priced at $1K but the seller was willing to knock a $200 off the price so I picked it up for a decent price. The restoration on the book isn't so bad so if I were to have it removed some day the book will probably still be in the GD/GD- range so it was a pretty good deal.

I like the date stamp on Mystery In Space #21 and how it's got the time included. That's a little different.
It's neat to think tomorrow might be the 76th anniversary of when John got the Captain Marvel book, or wrote on it anyway.
