I refuse to watch those clips. I have never see it "upgraded" and I don't want to. I love cheese to stay cheese.
Just as bad as Star Wars. They were having a marathon at a local theater a few months after the "Digitally Enhanced" versions of Star Wars came out, they showed all 3 movies in regular and enhanced. I spent about 14 hours in that theater, jumping from movie to movie with about 10 friends, a few of us in each theater. Was a fun night, but I didn't really care for the newer ones.

Interesting. I had no idea they changed things so much, I dont think I've ever seen an episode with the new CGI. I vote for the old effects too! I think what bothers me most is not so much that they decided to spiff up the planets and how the ship moves through space, the ship exterior, etc it's those scenes like the one I referenced above where they completely change the orientation of the ship in space. They basically changed the scene for no reason other than they could. That's not enhancement through newer effects, that's change for the sake of change. Doesn't add anything to the episode. I agree, enhancing the scene is one thing, but actually rearranging it is taking liberties. As a die-hard fan I prefer the original version, but still enjoy watching with the newer sfx...some look great, others not so much:( I was comparing several scenes from "All our Yesterdays" with the HD remastered (Digital) and the original DVD copy I own (DVD-R) and the colors/skin tones really do look better in the HD remastered version, but...everything is much darker to the point you cannot make out fine details in certain scenes, especially backgrounds.

Which is better...ping pong ball or cheese grater propulsion? Cheese grater, hands down! Spatula Drive is my favorite.

I heard that in the latest remastered version of Star Wars: A New Hope, they're going to turn all the lightsabres into popsicles...

I posted about them on CGC, but there's no way I could find it again with their ty search engine and technical problems. If I remember correctly, they used an actor from the TOS series in one of them.
