Is that a scam to make people run out and buy it/try to find it, because it will be assumed it will go up in value? If a dealer is sitting on a bunch of them, and gets a send them back recall notification, is he/she going to say already sold them all? Who comes up with this stuff? It is liked the food manufacturers. 3 months after they sold the stuff, somebody or some agency says it is tainted and issues a recall. 300 people already sick, 65 dead. Did they know it? Probably. Did they still unload the stuff? Of course. A recall on comics......... en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Recalled_comics

Wikipedia What has that got to do with creative profit scams? So there is a recall. I am sure therre are recalls for various reasons. So? That is not what I was getting at, though. The dealer says none left, sold them all. Then sits on the stash until a possible increase, because of some perceived shortage. The Wiki article does not discuss this. Wiki is not an encyclopedia. It is a public hodgepodge of public commentary, that has some quick lookup value as a subject review, but that is the only value. I asked if is possibe the recall is a a manufactured scam, meaning is somebody going to profit from it, by creating an appearance of rarity, by either so dealers not complying with recall, which I interpret as sending stock back, and sales already made being instant profit by claiming rarity and ebaying stuff. Not to mention the manufacturer scamming for some reason.

The dumbest recall is the first one on that list. Old man Jonathan Kent can't enjoy a beer?

So it sounded like you thought no comics had ever been legitimately recalled, hence the quick link. Carry on! This is a quiz. It is not going to be easy, and it is a little tricky. Which of the following manufacturer recalls does not belong and why (think the Cardinal on Imus). A) Auto airbag defect that can kill you. B) Tainted ground turkey that can kill you. C) Powdered coffee cream tainted with heroin that can kill you. D) Automobile engine shutoff defect that can kill you. E) Comic book recall.....again, comic book recall Answer: E because unlike the other recalls, it won't kill you and is a nerd scam, and is the worse combination of 3 words in the history of combining words; recall and comic and book. Pretty sure not many have heard about it, even though it is on Wiki and everything. Comic book recalls are important. And legitimate.

A little narration would help. Those aren't all recalled books. I'm pretty sure I have the Earth X book ("Bob Harras is a son of a I'm glad he was fired" or something like that).

My guess is that this book would sell for up to $20, in auction.A $100 BIN is fishing for a sucker, which is a waste of time, I'd have it slabbed and wait for a sucker at a $200 BIN. The asking BIN for this raw at $350 is a joke.
