Isn't it Mile High Comics who sell certain newsstand issues at significantly higher prices? Their reasoning being that a newsstand copy is rarer to find in high grade condition in comparison to the direct market copy. Yes, they price them ridiculously high. Do they list Canadian newstand seperate?I'm not going over there.

The problem with Mile High is that early Direct Market editions are harder to find than newsstands, yet MH usually prices the newsstands higher yet. The only time newsstands are being separated when grading CGC is either there is a difference between the two books (paper quality, price, added/missing item, etc) or the newsstand version has a significant collectibility from the direct edition (some of those 2nd prints from the early 1990s Batman #457, Superman #50, Robin #1 mini, Spidey UPC gold).

WRT Sups 50 and Robin 1 2nd print newsstands, are you definitively sure that CGC labels these 2 books as "2nd Print Newsstand Edition"? I know that they label Bats 457 2nd print newsstand as such, and have done so for close to 2 years. I am not aware of any Sups 50 or Robin 1 2nd print newsstands being subbed to CGC, yet. THough I am sure that all it would take is a request when subbing either of these books, long as supporting evidence ws supplied e.g. RMA's threads on thpose 2 books. And yeah....I'd have to think that it is a matter of time before CGC (and CBCS) starts notating "newstand edition" or "direct market edition" on their , maybe a few years of all books slabbed from Dazzler #1 (Vol. 1), going forward. Not anytime soon, though. From what I have read, in response from both CGC and CBCS, this would require too much time/work.(paraphrased) CBCS rolled out their "newsstand edition" notations on labels last year, which was a smart move on their part, beating CGC to the punch. But CBCS doesn't notate any such distinction on books published past (around, going off memory) 2000 or thereabouts. Which is a fumbling of the ball, on CBCS's part. Considering that post 2000 newsstands were printed in much lower numbers, than mid 1980's for example, when distribution was about 50/50. 's newsstands...

Superman 50 2nd print newsstand just got graded by CGC. 1st one, probably the 3rd known copy. RMA & Capt. Kirk have the other two. This one is a 9.2.
