Ok, now list the Batgirls in order. Again, canonical only; no fictional versions.

Ok, now list the Batgirls in order. Again, canonical only; no fictional versions. Worst thing that ever happened to Batman was Robin and Batgirl

Betty Kane was thought to have been retconned out following Crisis. She was then "retconned" back in again during Batman Inc by Grant Morrison. It was the first time post-Crisis she and Kathy Kane had been mentioned. He decided to put them back in.
Anyway, still no for Bat-Girl.

I admit, I don't know the history of Batgirl too much.

I admit, I don't know the history of Batgirl too much. Same here. Most of what I know/remember is stuff like Detective #371. About a year ago I read DC's "Batgirl: A Celebration Of 50 Years" and enjoyed the stories and character, but I think I stopped remembering new things about old characters at least a decade or so back.

The answer is:-
Betty Kane (depending on your point of view) Barbara Gordon Helena Bertinelli Cassandra Cain Stephanie Brown
(Just in case anyone's keeping score, Misfit doesn't count )

Wasn't there some kind of "monkey", or primate robin? It was mentioned in Odyssey I think, and I had NO idea what the hell it was! I'll have to look for it.
