I don't think you're being a bastich at all, please continue! I have seen Jean read somebody's mind like a book tho, she could produce an exact quote from someone. I've never heard the explanation above but it would cover Marvel's ass better. I meant when it comes to reading an animal's mind, not a human's. Ah, sorry, gotcha.

I'm sure Marvel would answer that she has a sort of universal translator in her head that allows her to understand other languages, or her telekenisis allows her to learn the language of the animal at super speed through the being's mind or blah blah blah... Heh... I am not trying to be a pedantic bastid, but I believe it was explained that she gets images in her head, she can translate the thoughts as crude pictures, not actually read it's mind like some sort of Disney princess. Maybe land animals have some sort of "common" communication ability amongst themselves. Maybe like how all the undersea creatures can communicate with and understand Lori Lemaris, Aquaman, etc.?

Who was first...Jean Gray or Dr. Doolittle? IDC, I just know who I've had dreams about as a younger man. (Hint: it wasn't Dr. Doolittle.) Poor Dr. Doolittle. Never gets any human attention...

Aquaman doesn't "talk" to fish. Really, he pushes them. Commands them. Mentally enslaves them, if you will. They are rather stupid creatures, after all.

Back in Pep #22 we know the Archie character, Betty, Jughead, and several parents made their first appearance. Question: what was Archie's nickname in that issue? Hint: it wasnt "Archie".

Baldy? (Archibald) No, not "Baldy". I've see the nickname used for some old-timey baseball players, but it seems its otherwise fallen out of favor in today's world.
