Aerosmith wasn't a hair band, more like a classic rock band. That's fair. Although there are some old pictures of Steven Tyler which would make you think differently I think that was the one I liked the most at the time but... waaay too much cowbell.

I always thought cowbell were more tok, tok, tok. I was always a Tink guy. I always thought Tok was more of a wood block sound and to be honest, I never really thought Don't Fear the Reaper had any cowbell in it before the skit.

The drummer in one of my old bands turned up to one practice with a cowbell... It didn't make it out of the bag.

You should've let him play his cowbell! I'm confused... Are you saying Avenged Sevenfold are millionaires? And does the "new" drummer play a cowbell?

I saw Avenged Sevenfold on their Waking the Fallen tour. They played a tiny venue in Camden, London which had a 500 capacity. That was probably their only good album and it's not something I'd listen to today. The novelty wore off. The follow up City of Evil (i.e. the "Thrash Guns 'n Roses" album) was so not my cup of tea, it was positively coffee
