You're talking about Aerosmith Version 2.0 I take Version 1.0 far more seriously. There was a Version 1.0? 1973 to 1980 was the prime Aerosmith years. When Joe Perry and Brad Witford quit around 1980 the band went down the toilet, and then their careers were saved by Run DMC in 1987 as you mentioned. Then they released utter crap like Crying and Janie's Got a Gun which made them hugely popular again. |

BEST intro to a "teen" film EVER!! I time travel with each viewing of this film  Oddly the hazing didn't start until I was a Junior, so  there. But hazing only consisted of being tossed in the pond where we... hung out  ... at break and lunch. All that chasing with paddles? Buuuuuzz kill. And forget using cars. We had a closed campus, and the police loved enforcing it. |

I never really got into the hair bands. I dabbled with Motley Crue as a teenager (was I ever that young?) but soon grew out of it. It's just not my thing. By the time I was 16, I was a bonafide thrasher.

I never really got into the hair bands. Aerosmith wasn't a hair band, more like a classic rock band Their first album is a classic! They went downhill from there... Same here, but you gotta walk before you can mosh. Aerosmith is a Boston band so around here you grew up on bands like them. They were a gateway band to the harder stuff. |
