Another idea...and I kinda like this one because it takes much less real estate on the mini-profile.
Post count is related to grade (instead of a comic book).
And below the grade is a horizontal scale from 0-10 with a red indicator.
Something like...
Rank = VF/NM (9.0)
(imagine a horizontal scale here)

I've implemented the following: I'm not using the star system anymore. I don't think it added any value and there was some confusion about it. I may introduce small images in the future, but for now this will work.  |

Most of mine have been moderns and I never even got a 9.9. I did once say if I ever got a 10, I'd send it back and tell them to look more closely... that might've had something to do with it...  |
