I have some comics that are probably "rare" but not really. When I lived in Seattle the Mariners had their best year ever after Ichiro showed up. The McDonalds in the area had a giveaway where if you bought a whatever meal you got a free Mariners comic. There were 2 issues and I assume you could only get them in the Seattle area. So are they rare? Maybe, but nobody cares.  |

Well,I was going to give it it's own thread,but maybe this will get this one going,as I LOVE oddball,unique stuff.It really floats my boat! I don't know what I was searching for,or why I was even on the bay-I rarely shop there,for comics anyhow.I came across this/these though and made the fellow an offer at a slightly lower price if I bought more than one. The description says seventies,and I think I agree.So,all the way from Portugal,these came in the post this week!Funny thing too,if anyone remembers Jem and the Holograms from the eighties,the rival band was called the Misfits,the bad girls.One of my friends sisters had the tape that came with a doll(different dolls,dif. tape,song),and I really digged the tune.Took me forever to find it,finally got one from Portugal! I haven't opened a pack yet,so no idea besides that they are Fantastic Four and Spidey.I'm sort of savouring the suspense,I mean,it's likely been sealed for forty plus years! ![]()  |
