The mob rules, not journalism. Didn't you cover that song with Matt "Arseman" Nelson and John Dolmayan?

Social media platforms are public platformswith the ability to make arbitrary decisions on what the public needs to see or hear.
Having the power to censor what a world leader says makes them more powerful than the leader.
The parallel here is the middle ages, when the Church was the dispenser of truth and everyone had to trust and believe what they dispensed. The bible was chained to a pulpit and the common man wasn't allowed to touch it or look at it.
The terms of service are there to protect the companies and their own views just like political platforms and decisions can often not in the best interest of the people but in the best interest of the re-election of a politician.
What is being 'started' is an information war using a pattern of censorship by the big media companies that forces public information to align with their own political or philosophical views.
As guilty as Russia or China may be for attempting to swing elections in other countries using misinformation campaigns on social media. the companies are no different themselves to their own people if they are going to be the arbiters of what can and can't be dispensed.
Especially when it affects how they treat a figure like the President.
Social media platforms are not public, they’re private entities, or at least says the U.S. Supreme Court(fwiw, laws can certainly be disagreed with, but this is what we’re working with in the U.S.) and as a private entity don’t have to allow all manner of speech. Any communication outlet be it television, radio, website, neighborhood newsletter, etc. is able to “censor” a world leader, sports figure, or anyone through omission. It happens everywhere and always has. In the Middle Ages the Church was the de facto Government, so I’m not seeing the parallel in that statement. I really don’t think I’m knowledgeable enough to comment on any sort of general “information war”, nor am I familiar with any pattern of censorship from big media companies here in the States. As for treatment of the President, he’s been given greater latitude than any private citizen likely would for several years running.

Dio is really tough to cover. Might be the greatest heavy rock voice of all time.

We're trying to box them into something that is still relatively new so we haven't quite figured out what they are.
They collect information about us that they sell.
They give us the 'privilege' of being able to express ourselves as long as it's according to their service terms.
They have no oversight although they have the ability to shape entire societies, elections, in fact, the world. This is not an exaggeration.
But most of all, they're subjective.
And while having ALL of that power and control and subjectivity, they are made to run a profit.
You don't see the problems here with this model?
As far as latitude given, there are probably a zillion tweets on Twitter still standing that are more incitement than what Trump wrote. It all comes down to interpretation, and that is exactly what the Church dispensed in the middle ages - their interpretation of what was true or right.

This video proves that Trump is not responsible for the Capitol riot.

I’m not sure what evidence I’m supposed to see. The kernel of the idea existed prior to the start of protesters gathering.

But his Twitter Tweets still don't look to be that way to me.
So I'm confused by Barry's post....because he says the video shows that Trump wasn't responsible when in fact it's making Trump look more responsible to me now.
Can you clarify, Barry?

Are you suggesting the kernel was planted in Pres. Trump or his constituents at large? I thought that was Martin Sheen?
