This from the guy who doesn't like eggs or can appreciate the yummy goodness of some JIF peanut butter? Edit: It's probably not so bad, but anyhow. I never really learned to drink spirits unless mixed with coke, Dr. Pepper, or gingerale. Southern Comfort over ice with pineapple juice, though.... We used to drink Southern Comfort with 7UP (or British style lemonade) during my college years. Tastes almost as good coming up as it does going down. We called So Co and 7 Up shots an Alabama Slammer. You put both in a shot glass, put your hand over it and slam it on the table to get the 7 Up all fizzy, and then do the shot.

I've heard of that drink, but didn't realize you had to slam the glass. I wonder how Pop Rocks would work?

I think we just stole the name, from what I've read a real Alabama Slammer is a drink not a shot and you don't slam it. This was a college drink too, I never would've done this in high school, too easy to get busted by my parents Not sure if you saw it, but a while ago I had ice cream with Pop Rocks in it. Weird.

I've just found out it's made with ghost chili Never had those. How could you soften or dilute the heat at this point? Numb your tongue with ice first, and have a half gallon of a tasty sorbet nearby?

Actually it seems I've had this pepper as a hot sauce. The one I get is Melinda's Naga Jolokia and their site says this is made with the ghost pepper. melindas.com/product/melindas-naga-jolokia-pepper-hot-sauce/I find the hot sauce to be rather flavorful, though. I use it in a lot of things. I'll even add a few dashes to hot water and drink it instead of coffee or tea on occasion.
