TIL that Puritan-branded food in cans looks like dog food cans. The food kinda looks like dog food too. According to Jimmers, that might be an accurate description on some of the tastes.

Yes! Here, I like to make cornbread with bacon in it. Not fried up crisp so it shatters into a thousand little bits, either - make the bacon on the chewy side, cut or rip off ~1" chunks (app. 25mm for non-Americans) and throw those into the batter before baking. Now I want baconed corn bread... This is what I'm eating... Gorgeous!

Delicious even cold from the can. I don't know when it was discontinued, but it gets mentioned on those "remember this" type sites fairly often.

I think it's Chef Boy-Am-I-Hungree that currently makes a mac & cheese in a can. I tried it once, the sauce was grainy.
But I do remember the old Franco American M&C. That stuff was good...
Until my sodium intake reduction, I used to take a whole can of either regular or mini ravioli, put it in a small baking dish, and mix in some garlic powder & black pepper, cover the top with Parmesan cheese (Kraft, from the green can, of course!) and bake until GBD and bubbly. I could still do it, but I couldn't have any more salt the rest of the day!

Tomorrow, I'm cooking roast beef for the whole family (9 of us). I forgot to buy the Yorkshire Puddings. Should I just say "sod it!" and cancel...? I mean, you can't have roast beef without Yorkshire Puddings. It just wouldn't be right. I could go out an buy some in the morning, but it's Sunday and the shops don't open until 11:00, by which time I'll already be cooking...

Those are too hot for me. I like hot peppers and all, but not hot candy. I can't even eat the dark green Tic-Tacs.

You are cooking the roast beef yourself. You have the hot beef fat. The puddings aren't hard to make, just make them yourself! I didn't even know one could buy Yorkshire puddings pre-made! No such thing here in the USA. (Thanks, Trumpence!) Seriously... And if you tell me you don't have a muffin tin, I simply won't believe you.

Ours are individually wrapped so you could buy just one, for a nickel.

The Canadian government deemed them too hot for their citizens so they were banned. There were unsubstantiated reports of people's heads blowing up.
