Is lasagna a casserole? Seems like it should qualify based on ingredients and cooking method. I call Macaroni and beef with cheese on top a casserole,so why not lasagne?

I've just never heard anyone say they were having "Lasagna casserole". It's like lasagna doesn't want to share a pedigree with all other casseroles or something. Around here our Lasagna is always made with wide noodles. What you describe we'd call a "macaroni & beef" casserole as well.
