The obsession with sexuality today, especially other people's sexuality, is a moral failing that feeds into a psychological illness that is now foisted upon all of society.
Before the "sexual revolution", there was a slow-growing sexual debauchery and perversity that was ever-present, though extremely less pervasive than today, rightly relegated to the occasional dark corners of society.
Prostitution, being the "oldest profession", was still rightfully looked down upon and existed at the fringes of society where some men and women would congregate to indulge and feed their moral failings.
Adultery, fornication, sexual deviancy and perverse immorality were outwardly, widely and rightly condemned as sins that corrode not only the individual, but also the individual's family and society as a whole.
But with the onset of the "sexual revolution", with its earliest beginnings in the 40's and 50's, more individuals began to ignore the corrosion of their hearts, seeking pleasure in whatever outlet they felt would give them immediate gratification.
Thus both the sexual revolution and the newly-minted drug-culture fed off each other through the 60's and 70's, when the largest mass of immature adolescents, teenagers and young adults convinced each other to rebel against the underpinnings of morality in ways that individual teenagers are universally prone to indulge themselves. Only because of the Baby Boom numbers, this was now the largest mass-movement of social immorality and self-indulgence by the largest generation ever seen of young-and-stupid seekers of immediate gratification.
And a parallel explosion of money-chasing media-marketers were cashing in on the morally-weakened, mentally-drugged and sexually-promiscuous degenerates, feeding them not only the lies that derailed them ("tune in, turn on, drop out", etc.) but also the lies that sexuality is purely an "individual choice" that has no bearing or reflection on families or society.
It truly encouraged the self-centered, narcissistic, self-righteousness of any and every perversion, deviancy and degeneracy that one could dream up. Just a couple decades later, pornography became mainstream, denigrating, dehumanizing and objectifying women women and femininity until entire masses of males viewed women as objects for sexual expression and sexual gratification.
Sexual gluttony had taken root.
Sex for pleasure, any time one could get it, would be sensationalized, glamorized and pushed by deviants as "normal". If a man was not out having sex (or at least seeking it) with multiple partners every other night, then they were not a "real man". Pop music, movies and TV shows fed this never-ending hunger for lust and sexual imagery, descriptions and acts.
If sex were food, most of the country would be morbidly obese gluttons unable to stop seeing the objects of their sexual obsessions everywhere they looked, and unable to stop thinking and obsessing about their own sexuality and other's sexualities, in order to feed their insatiable hunger.
Yet like all obsessions, they only grow worse, continuing to get more extreme and perverse, continuing to corrode the individual from within, thus they seek ever-harder to "normalize" their perversions, to spread their deviancies and to "infect" others with their depraved sexual-gluttony so that they will feel more "normal" (which they never will as long as they hang on to their sexual gluttony).
Which is where we are today.
