Zod could understand if these values/suggested prices were in closer proximity to actual prices/values, but the disparity is astonishing. It's like Bizarro World vs Earth; fantasy vs reality. Don't get Zod wrong - he dutifully orders his copy every year, and gets a fanboy thrill when cracking it open. But values/prices off by anywhere from 50% to 100% and more? Zod understands that no one wants to see their Moby Duck collection valued less this year than last, or that their Charlton western comics weren't the best investment (in anything other than pure, confusing fun; trying to figure out if a page is missing, or the story was actually conceived & produced that way always a great challenge!), but that disparity... Zod knows of many who haven't bought a new OPG in years (or decades) due to this credibility gap, and while he understands some of the reasons for Overstreet's disconnect, Zod still asks: WHY does it persist?

For example... Zod was going through his Kryptonian Komic Kollection & pulled a SA FF book he remembered buying from a dollar box some 20 years earlier, & put it in his lettergo pile. Before heading off to the local LCS to sell these books for what he assumed would be a buck or two apiece, Zod decided to look a few up in Overstreet, as he assumed the books were worth about what he'd paid, but 20 years IS a long time. Imagine Zod's surprise when he saw that what he thought was a $5 book was now valued at $50 in Overstreet! Intrigued, Zod wondered if this was one of these "yeah, but what does it REALLY sell for?" situations, so online Zod went. And imagine Zod's even greater surprise when he saw the book selling not for $10 or $20, but $250 in grade! That's FIVE times the Overstreet value. So Zod asks again: What gives??
