I think you’re seeing the going market price(or from 6+ months ago). The retail spiked during the pandemic & they were often hard to come by. I think many sellers move more in lesser quantities than 500 at a shot, and I’m sure there’s lots of folks that don’t know to check the Gerber site. They were sold out for periods of time, too.

Gerber has stopped making some sizes. Not sure why. It could be a pandemic related supply shortage or they just decided to make their offering smaller. But this has driven prices up through the roof. When I found out I ended up buying all the supplies I could find online and ended up paying through the nose. I paid up to $1 per piece (per Fullback board and per Mylar). People always get stingy when paying for supplies but they really shouldn't. They should look at it as an investment. If you can spend $100s or even $1000s on comic books, you shouldn't winge at paying $1-2 more per book to store them safely. I avoid using cheap bags and boards at all costs, unless it's cheap junk going into them. Even when I mail my books to CGC for grading, I use the best Mylars and Fullbacks I can find. The last thing I need is a book getting dinged or bent just before it gets graded. So look at it as an investment and factor it into the cost of the book.
