Less directly connected to restoration—but more connected to creation. They have a lot of skill sets in commmon, I feel. Anyone here into the book binding game? I often make my own sketchbooks for a month or so with saddle or Coptic stitch, but a lot of restoration buffs utilize the same techniques to fix up anything from grandma’s old cookbook from 1930 to their favorite trash novel. Anyone used book binding techniques to save their favorites book or create their own sketchbook, comic book, etc.?
I’ll have to dig around and see if I still have pictures of the last leatherbound book I did. It’s a fun hobby but hella time intensive as you get into more complicated stitching.

Have you seen this series about a murderous book binder/book store owner?
