There are posts in other threads about this but I think this is going to be big enough that it should have it's own separate thread. The charges against the Federal government are that they colluded with Big Tech in creating a censorship campaigns to deceive the people about the dangers of Covid-19, the Lab Leak theory, the Hunter Biden laptop story etc. 20 years ago, this law suit would be pasted on the front page of every news paper. Today, most people don't even know it exists. This is from the Twitter page of Eric Schmitt, the Attorney General of the State of Missouri If you scroll down this Twitter post, Schmitt offers damning examples of government censorship on major issues that affected the decision making of the general public These charges are serious and should the Biden administration be found guilty, this could change the direction of everything from the presidency to how Big Tech exists.

From the website of the Attorney General of Missouri Missouri, Louisiana AGs File Suit Against President Biden, Top Admin Officials for Allegedly Colluding with Social Media Giants to Censor and Suppress Free Speech May 5, 2022, 14:43 PM by AG Schmitt JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – Today, Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt and Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry filed suit against President Biden and other top-ranking government officials for allegedly working with social media giants such as Meta, Twitter, and Youtube to censor and suppress free speech, including truthful information, related to COVID-19, election integrity, and other topics, under the guise of combating “misinformation.” -------------------------------- “Big Tech has become an extension of Biden’s Big Government....[cut] The lawsuit alleges that the Biden Administration – more specifically President Biden, Press Secretary Jen Psaki, Dr. Anthony Fauci, Director of the Department of Homeland Security’s “Disinformation Governance Board” Nina Jankowicz, Surgeon General Vivek Murthy, Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, and others – both pressured and colluded with social media giants Meta, Twitter, and Youtube to censor free speech in the name of combating so-called “disinformation” and “misinformation,” which led to the suppression and censorship of truthful information on several topics, including COVID-19. The lawsuit provides several examples of truthful information that was censored by social media companies that were admitted at a later date to be truthful or credible, including:

While you have not seen much news coverage of this trial on mainstream news, this trial IS still ongoing.
Eric Schmidt is now Junior Senator and no longer Attorney General of Missouri.
Andrew Bailey has resumed as the Attorney General of Missouri.
These documents are shocking and show clear examples of collusion between Biden government and Facebook, Twitter and other social media to suppress information (including info that was TRUE).
"We now have hard evidence that President Biden’s Administration colluded with social media companies to censor differing viewpoints and silence “misinformation” that was later deemed true."

This is Part Two of the same. Here is a kicker: 5 / 10 Facebook assures Flaherty that “in addition to removing vaccine misinformation, we have been focused on reducing the virality of content discouraging vaccines that does not contain actionable misinformation,” including “often-true content” They were removing TRUE CONTENT if it would discourage vaccination.

Luna: "Do you remember communicating on a private cloud server [with government entities] to remove a posting? Yes or no.
Roth: "I don't believe I can give you a yes or no answer."
Luna: "Joint State actors. Well I'm gonna tell you right you you did it... It is highly illegal. You were all engaged in this action and I want you to know that you will all be held accountable."

The march against collusion between Big Tech and Government continues to happen.
Jim Jordan the Chair of the House Judiciary Committee has subpoenaed the CEOs of Big Tech companies to hand over documents in what is alleged to be collusion with the federal government to suppress free speech.
Subpoena’s were sent to Google, Amazon, Meta, Apple, and Microsoft.

Nobody seems to want to talk about the largest, most powerful legal battle in the US right now. The Federal Government is being sued for Censorship and limiting Free Speech by a coalition of states led by Missouri and Louisiana for 1) how they censored TRUTHFUL information and pushed FALSE information regarding the Covid pandemic, Hunter Biden's laptop scandal and other issues- WHICH THEY UNEQUIVOCALLY DID. A Federal judge has BARRED THE BIDEN ADMINISTRATION FROM COMMUNICATING WITH SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORMS. Fun stuff! I wonder how namisgr is doing? I miss him. ------------------------------------------------ Biden DOJ Appeals Ruling Barring Officials from Communicating with Social-Media Companies

"Orwellian Ministry of Truth exposed."

From the link in Schmidt's Tweet: A judge on Tuesday prohibited several federal agencies and officials of the Biden administration from working with social media companies about “protected speech,” a decision called “a blow to censorship” by one of the Republican officials whose lawsuit prompted the ruling. U.S. District Judge Terry Doughty of Louisiana granted the injunction in response to a 2022 lawsuit brought by attorneys general in Louisiana and Missouri. Their lawsuit alleged that the federal government overstepped in its efforts to convince social media companies to address postings that could result in vaccine hesitancy during the COVID-19 pandemic or affect elections. Doughty cited “substantial evidence” of a far-reaching censorship campaign. He wrote that the “evidence produced thus far depicts an almost dystopian scenario. During the COVID-19 pandemic, a period perhaps best characterized by widespread doubt and uncertainty, the United States Government seems to have assumed a role similar to an Orwellian ‘Ministry of Truth.’ ”CAN SOMEONE MAKE SURE NAMISGR GETS THIS ARTICLE? Thanks.

THE FACEBOOK FILES, PART 1: SMOKING-GUN DOCS PROVE FACEBOOK CENSORED AMERICANS BECAUSE OF BIDEN WHITE HOUSE PRESSURE
Some exerpts:
--------------------
Never-before-released internal documents subpoenaed by the Judiciary Committee PROVE that Facebook and Instagram censored posts and changed their content moderation policies because of unconstitutional pressure from the Biden White House.
--------------
In another April 2021 email, Nick Clegg, Facebook’s president for global affairs, informed his team at Facebook that Andy Slavitt, a Senior Advisor to President Biden, was “outraged . . . that did not remove” a particular post.
-------------
When Clegg “countered that removing content like that would represent a significant incursion into traditional boundaries of free expression in the US,”
Slavitt disregarded the warning and the First Amendment.
-------------
What happened next? Facebook panicked.
In another April 2021 email, Brian Rice, Facebook’s VP of public policy, raised the concern that Slavitt's challenge felt “very much like a crossroads for us with the [Biden] White House in these early days.”
-------------
To appease the Biden White House, talking points were drafted for Clegg.
Facebook was ready to tell the White House that it had demoted a video posted by Tucker Carlson by 50% in response to the White House’s demands, even though the post didn’t violate any policies.
-------------
Only after the Committee announced its intention to hold Mark Zuckerberg in contempt did Facebook produce ANY internal documents to the Committee, including these documents, which PROVE that government pressure was directly responsible for censorship on Facebook.

This article also certainly belongs in this discussion thread as well.
What an incredible time to be alive, to see all of this unfold. This is the stuff movies are made from.
In 2020 I wondered where we'd be 1 or 2 or 3 years from now and what unfolded was so unprecedented over the last 3 years that nothing any longer surprises me.
Wow.
Democratic presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has filed a lawsuit against Google and YouTube, who he claims are 'state actors' who have violated his free speech.
From the article:
Kennedy, who's campaigning against President Joe Biden for the Democratic party nomination said in a 27-page complaint that the sites caved to pressure from the Biden administration, and that his videos about Covid vaccines were being censored through "overt and covert" means.
"Under these circumstances, YouTube is a state actor and it violated Mr Kennedy’s First Amendment rights by engaging in viewpoint discrimination," reads the filing. "This complaint concerns the freedom of speech and the extraordinary steps the United States government has taken under the leadership of Joe Biden to silence people it does not want Americans to hear."
The lawsuit points to several instances of the sites removing Kennedy's speeches and interviews

Missouri Attonery General had this to say: Biden’s lawyer seriously just said COVID caused a lot in the world to change, and thus, government censorship is permissible.
I’ve got news for him: the First Amendment is timeless.
