did i miss a notification on threads being removed? Yes, I also missed that notification: I made the thread Let's Discuss Forum Architecture a notification thread, which means it is literally at the top of every single board in this forum. We've been discussing the topic since 3/16 and the thread is 7 pages long. But yeah...it's a secret and I was keeping it from you guys. PS - No threads were removed. Everything is still intact. Nothing was deleted.

I get that, but I didn't notice the thread and its consequences for about a week.

Then that is a clear sign you needed NoDoz.

It's no big deal other than it would have been nice to have your input at the time.

Very interesting. You could literally start a fire this way in the wilderness if you found two pieces of metal. Without studying this, the hardness and composition of the metal MUST play a factor in how much spark or slag you produce.

How much Ammonium Nitrate does it take to make a dangerous explosion? Apparently it only took 5000 lbs to destroy the Alfred P Murrah building in the Oklahome City bombing (pictured in the Tweet) ----------------------------------------------------------- A railcar loaded with 30 tons (61,000 pounds) of ammonium nitrate left Cheyenne, WY for CA on April 12. Somehow the fertilizer/explosive disappeared and no one really knows where. Some are saying that it likely "fell" from the rail car somewhere near the Mojave desert. Really?

Scientists Warn Toxic Microplastics Now Getting Stuck in Our Airways
Microplastics are everywhere, even in the air we breathe—and we're consuming increasing amounts of them, according to scientists.
Research published in the journal Physics of Fluids on Tuesday shows that we breathe in large amounts of microplastic, which accumulate at particular spots at the back of our throats and in our nasal cavities. Humans inhale around 16.2 pieces of microplastic every hour, which adds up to about a credit card's worth across a week.

John Ionnidis, Professor of Medicine at Stanford is apparently the "Most Cited Medical Researcher in the world" He wrote an essay in 2005 unequivocally stating: "The greater the financial interest in a field the more likely the findings are going to be true."The person doing the speaking is a world renowned Cardiac doctor named Malhotra. https://www.instagram.com/p/Cr4vS3ZPUwr

But wait, there's more! From the link below: Because when studies are replicated, they rarely come up with the same results. Only a third of the 100 studies published in three top psychology journals could be successfully replicated in a large 2015 test.
Medicine, epidemiology, population science and nutritional studies fare no better, Ioannidis said, when attempts are made to replicate them.
"Across biomedical science and beyond, scientists do not get trained sufficiently on statistics and on methodology," Ioannidis said.
Too many studies are based solely on a few individuals, making it difficult to draw wider conclusions because the samplings have so little hope of being representative.
Beware those scientific studies—most are wrong, researcher warns--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- And more! People love the Guardian don't they? It's considered a good, Left leaning paper isn't it? Research findings that are probably wrong cited far more than robust ones, study finds
