I did actually look at this for a good 15-20 minutes or so last night and wasn’t feeling particularly good about any of the options. Ke4 seems ok as you mentioned, but you might just be buying time. I don’t see where you’d go from there without a misstep on Black’s part. |

We used to have chess tournaments in house when I used to work in the automotive industry. I miss it. |

I don’t see any sort of “winning” move. Now, having not seen the game roll out move by move, at this point things seem pretty jammed up so I’m inclined to want to open up the board a bit. My first choice would be pawn to B5 to force something to happen. I wouldn’t be too eager to move anything on the King’s side at this point as I don’t think further exposing the King’s helps either side. I think the B5 move would help to bring white’s rook into the game.

I can't remember the exact sequence but I ended up winning by queening a pawn. I'll try to recreate the sequence. Does anyone know a chess site where you can set the board up to simulate from mid game? |
