Wow. Is there a scientist here to translate this for us?

Thanks to someone else for sharing this with me. Is there a scientist in the house that can decipher this for me? More than 1,000 scientists have signed a declaration entitled “There Is No Climate Emergency.”The symbolic document formalizes a rebuttal to the claim that climate change is an existential threat to humanity.
“Climate science should be less political, while climate policies should be more scientific,” the group of experts writes in the first paragraph of the declaration.
Climate Intelligence (CLINTEL), an independent foundation specializing in climate change and climate policy, was the catalyst for the declaration, which includes signatures from scientists, physicists, and climate experts from around the globe. The list of signatories includes former officials from NASA, the U.S. Army, U.S. Navy and U.S. Air Force.
According to its website, CLINTEL was founded by emeritus professor of geophysics Guus Berkhout and science journalist Marcel Crok and seeks to advance understanding of the causes and effects of climate change, with four guiding principles:
1. The Foundation tries to communicate objectively and transparently to the general public what facts are available about climate change and climate policy and also where facts turn into assumptions and predictions.
2. The Foundation conducts and stimulates a public debate about this and carries out investigative reporting in this field.
3. The Foundation wants to function as an international meeting place for scientists with different views on climate change and climate policy.
4. The Foundation will also carry out or finance its own scientific research into climate change and climate policy.

People believe climate change because its the only narrative allowed-all other voices are silenced. Just look at the global warmin thread-everyone who opposed the warmies got banned from the thread. Wut a crock.

Trudeau Hiring “Climate Police” As Canada Moves To Neo-DictatorshipIn what appears to be a paean to George Orwell’s “1984,” the federal Ministry of Environment & Climate Change Canada (ECCC) is building a new facility in Winnipeg that will “be home to a firearms armoury, interrogation rooms, biological labs, media relations offices, “controlled quiet rooms,” and intelligence facilities.” According to an article from The CounterSignal, a team of government employees under the title “Enforcement Officer – Environmental Pollution Enforcement” are presently being recruited from coast to coast. “The plans, drawn up by a firm in Winnipeg, open a window into Trudeau’s future plans for Climate Enforcement. Down the hall from the proposed ‘Firearms Storage’ rooms are several evidence rooms, interrogation suites, and adjacent recording rooms.”

But you said Mike does a good job moderating. I also said he could be better. I've personally met Mike more than once. He's a nice guy in person. I think he's a horrible moderator. He's basically choosing sides based on association and he sounds like a thug when he threatens people, which is funny because he's like 120 pounds soaking wet in person. What CGC is doing is not moderation and I think you are rethinking your endorsement of him now. It's OK. You can say it.

It's not baffling when you finally admit he's not very good at what he does. Easy, peasy.

No moderator will please everyone and he's definitely better than the old moderation that would just strike out of the blue and say "You are getting a strike for something you did. Do not do it again". No explanations no nuthin.

Do not do it again". No explanations no nuthin. Two piles of poop with one better than the other doesn't mean one pile is good. Mike is not moderating. namisgr and a few others have his ear and he's basically transforming the boards into an extension of their beliefs. By any normal, objective measure the CGC boards have gone insane. Banning Joe Rogan is about the most ridiculous, irrational and thing any moderator has ever done. It's ridiculous to ban a talk show host. And that's how small the mentality is that is being dealt with over there. And they'd rather do dumb stuff like ban Joe Rogan than admit they're wrong. Just like moderation didn't admit they were wrong when Dena and Bedrock had a throwdown that caused the "new direction" we have now. YOU CAN'T FIX THE PROBLEM IF YOU NEVER ADMIT TO HAVING ONE IN THE FIRST PLACE. It just gets worse. Mike has banned every dissenting voice from the Climate Change thread in the Watercooler. But he leaves guys like Forbush Man who just insults everyone. Sounds about par for the course over there.
