For anyone who cares, Justin Trudeau PM of Canada has tried to pass a bill banning handguns but the bill also proposes going after hunting rifles and shotguns.
There is an uproar including members of his own caucus being kicked out of parliament for confronting the Liberals about it.

In Canada, the government wants to impose $70K fines on people who spread "misinformation" on the Internet, and yet the Government has been the greatest spreader of it. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau “believes in free speech, but” is upset by social media content that is “difficult to counter,” he said. Trudeau’s remarks follow a proposal to regulate legal internet content deemed hurtful. The remarks are detailed in an Interview Summary of a September 9 meeting between Trudeau and six lawyers with the Public Order Emergency Commission. The Summary said Trudeau was upset by unregulated internet content. “The Prime Minister emphasized the need for governments to take online rhetoric seriously,” read minutes of the interview. “He noted we are living in a very difficult time right now,” said the Summary, adding: “The problem arises when disagreements are built on falsehoods or wrong facts because then it becomes difficult to have a real debate and genuine exchange of ideas.” Says the man who has openly lied and censored public discussion. Just look at that ratty little squint of his. He NEVER used to squint like that when he first started as PM. {Article in Spoiler} Prime Minister Justin Trudeau “believes in free speech, but” is upset by social media content that is “difficult to counter,” he said.
“He noted we are living in a very difficult time right now,” said the Summary, adding: “The problem arises when disagreements are built on falsehoods or wrong facts because then it becomes difficult to have a real debate and genuine exchange of ideas.”
“The government believes in free speech,” said Trudeau. “But with social media there is a new way to foment anger and hate that is different from anything we have seen before, difficult to counter, and it is destabilizing our democracy. He raised the examples of spoof websites that look real.”
“The Prime Minister noted since the invocation of the Emergencies Act there have been people spreading the message the government suspended civil liberties, used violence against peaceful protesters and suspended democracy, which did not happen,” said the minutes. “There are those who take this message as confirmation the government is illegitimate and treasonous.”
The Interview Summary “does not include everything the Prime Minister spoke about during the interview,” wrote Commission lawyers. It did not elaborate.
$70,000 Fines
Cabinet since 2019 has proposed legislation to censor lawful internet content deemed a threat to “social cohesion.” Bill C-36 An Act To Amend The Criminal Code introduced on June 23, 2021 advocated $70,000 fines on bloggers, Facebook friends and other internet users who post messages “likely to foment detestation or vilification of an individual or group.” The bill lapsed in the last Parliament.
Cabinet in a July 29, 2021 Technical Paper and Discussion Paper went further in suggesting cabinet appoint a Digital Safety Commissioner to monitor legal internet content. The Commissioner would have powers to investigate anonymous complaints, conduct closed-door hearings and block websites.
Bill C-36 has not been re-introduced to date. “I assure you that Heritage Minister Pablo Rodriguez and others within our government are leaning in on this and will bring forward the legislation as quickly as possible,” Public Safety Minister Marco Mendicino told reporter last August 29. He set no deadline.
“I know that Minister Rodriguez is very eager to bring forward this legislation,” said Mendicino. The Attorney General “and others within our government are very eager to take the feedback they have received,” he said.
A total 9,218 submissions were received by the Department of Canadian Heritage on the proposals. Petitioners were overwhelmingly opposed.
Any legislation must “ensure that people can have robust free speech” but “also delineate some clear boundaries on what is not acceptable,” said Mendicino. Hate speech is illegal in Canada under 1970 amendments to the Criminal Code.

In the early days of the Trucker Convoy, the Federal Government was publicly stated that they may have been funded through Russian interference.
The Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (government funded news) stated on air that sources stated there was Russian involvement.
It turns out it was a total smear campaign with no basis and that the Federal Government has admitted as such.

One full year into the pandemic, Police in Canada were STILL harassing people and preventing them from publicly gathering in outdoor places.
I personally will #neverforget
You shouldn't either.

Canada has spent $312 MILLION over 5 years to prevent gun smuggling. But Canada has no idea how many guns have been smuggled into Canada. Can you believe this is real? Meanwhile, they're fiercely pushing to ban hunting rifles.

If you had any doubts on whether Canada has lost it's way, and that philosophically it's closer to Nazism than it is to Western democracy, this should help convince you. This is a commercial put out by a fashion company advertising, no GLORIFYING M.A.I.D - Medically assisted dying. Euthanasia. I can't believe we're here. But it's happening right before our eyes. They are not only advocating for euthanasia for the ill, they are doing it for the poor and the mentally ill. Imagine, feeding your children these ideas on public television. I can't believe we're here. It's disgusting how this is being promoted in the name of enlightenment. I understand the discussion on Euthanasia, but to promote it in such a glamorous fashion? How much longer, how much further will these Liberal mindsets be pushed on society corrupting human values of life and liberty? Welcome to our new dystopian world. This is the National Post with an article on the topic. nationalpost.com/news/canada/woman-euthanasia-commercial-wanted-to-live

If you haven't followed this thread closely, Medically Assisted Suicide (MAID) is becoming common practice in Canada. It is now allowed for the infirm and will soon be available for the poor and the mentally ill. I'm not exaggerating. I'm not joking. This is real. Mississauga is a part of the Greater Toronto area. CEO of Mississauga Food Bank is saying that people are coming in asking her about assisted suicide because life is so difficult to afford.

I'm not political and I don't hate Trudeau. I hate what Trudeau has allowed Canada to become, and what is happening is Authoritarianism Nazis 101. Trudeau's decisions have created a country full of censorship, killing and harming of innocents and easy death if you want it. Couple that with systematic elimination of any opposition and we're just about done as a free society. It's terrifying to me that people don't see it

This is a discussion between the Conservative leader PP and the Liberal leader, Prime Minister Trudeau. Trudeau gets asked the same question 7 different ways and NEVER answers it. This is what a discussion with namisgr is like. Around in circles but NEVER on point. Good God, is it ANY wonder things why we can't have nice things like progress and honesty?

There is a very shocking thing coming to light here in Canada. It's literally just breaking news today. Trudeau's use of the Emergency (War) Measures Act is being investigated in Canada by a government inquiry. The Justice presiding is Paul Rouleau. Remember that name. The Justice has a brother named Pierre Rouleau. The Justice's brother Pierre Loueau was married to Pierre Trudeau's sister Suzette Trudeau. Pierre Trudeau is Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's father. That means that Justice Paul Rouleau is presiding over the inquiry of his Nephew Justin Trudeau. WTF??? ------------------------------------------------------ Evidence below: Suzette Rouleau genealogy (screen shot below in case page on Geni gets edited). www.geni.com/people/Suzette-Rouleau/6000000005960726143

There are apparently TWO CANADIAN JUSTICES NAMED PAUL ROULEAU. One was married to Pierre Trudeau's sister. The one presiding over the Emergencies Act Inquiry is NOT the same as the one that was married to Trudeau's sister. WHAT are the odds of that? My mistake, folks. I was wrong.

Does anyone in Canada remember this clip?
It went viral.
An MP in parliament asks about Klaus Schwab's WEF involvement in the interests in transparency.
He is cut off and not allowed to continue. He's accused of spreading disinformation by a rival cabinet member.
