Back in 2011, I created a thread on the CGC forum to discuss the best sniping software available at the time. For me, I went with Gavelsnipe. It had all the bells and whistles I was looking for, and it was completely free with unlimited snipes and wins. Unfortunately, Gavelsnipe is no longer in existence. You can read about it here. I was unaware of Heritage Auctions' investment. I don't trust those guys at all. In any case, a lot of people are recommending Gixen now. It's free for up to 4 winning snipes a month. If you require more, you need to upgrade to Gixen Mirror for $6/year. I'll probably be trying it soon. If you prefer a different Sniping Software, please tell us about it.

I checked out Gixen. Functionally, it seems to work a lot like GavelSnipe used to. I didn't actually bid on anything, but I signed up and loaded a bunch of eBay listings to watch. I like it so far. I'll post more when I actually bid on something.

I've used myBidder a lot. It works fairly well and is free, but I think they limit how many auction wins you can have before you have to pay a fee. So far it's worked well for me.
