That's really sad. I have an enormous amount of respect for him. This kind of thing always reminds you of the fragility of life and the value of each precious moment.

The man could draw things I would have thought impossible. Avengers vs JLA check out some of those pages man. I remember when he started on avengers-his first issue was a bit rough but me and my buddy-big avengers fans-were excited.

I remember when he started on avengers-his first issue was a bit rough but me and my buddy-big avengers fans-were excited. Perez was an awesome illustrator, one of my favorites from the 80's. Over the past few years I re-collected Perez's Avengers (1998) & New Teen Titans (1980/84) runs and I am so glad I did because I missed having them in my collection. Right before his death I bought Avengers v1 #200 & JLA/Avengers #1-4. I never met George but always heard he was so nice and attentive to his fans at conventions.
