This reminds me of the first semiconductor company I worked for and a holiday project I was involved in.
We took everyone's full name in the fab and arranged them in the shape of a Christmas tree, something like 50-75 people. Then we stepped the image down in size and printed it hundreds of times over the surface of a chrome mask. Each Christmas tree was about half the size of a printed period, and you needed a high-powered microscope to be able to read the names. I think the fonts were probably several microns in line thickness. Obviously, this is laughably large by today's standards. Each person in the fab got a contact printed mask copy and a case for it. Pretty cool...I wish I knew what happened to mine.
