 Hey! Just wanted to let you know that I've added 3 new items to the Navigation Menu. ShoutboxThe shoutbox now has an entire page so it's easier to use and read. It's also not at the bottom of every page so the forum looks a lot cleaner. NewsI've added a new page with RSS feeds for the following news websites: CNN Fox News The New York Times USA Today Yahoo News NPR BBC News Axios Comic Book NewsJust like the regular news, I've added a new page with RSS feeds for the following comic book news websites: The Comic Book Forum (I hear this is the best!  ) CGC Marketplace (Very cool feed if you are looking to buy comics.) Bleeding Cool The Beat Den of Geek ComicMix ComicsPriceGuide.com Bleeding Fool DC Comics Reddit.com/r/comicbooks/ The RSS feeds allow you to absorb a lot of information very quickly in a single location without a bunch of ads and other nonsense to distract and annoy you. The feed items are all clickable if you feel like reading the entire article on the original website, and I've configured the colors to show which ones you've already clicked. If you have a favorite general or comic book news site that you'd like to add, just let me know and I'll do my best to add it. |

 The navigation panel was getting a little too crowded, so I moved the two News pages to the Links page. The Shoutbox will remain on the navigation panel due to its popularity. |

The Shoutbox and Shoutbox II have been permanently removed because they were being abused by a single person who was repeatedly harassing members and posting obscenities, sometimes dozens of times daily. Although the moderators were removing this garbage almost instantaneously, I don't want to burden them any further with this nonsense.
This is why we can't have nice things.

I keep trying this in different ways. So here's the latest. We have 3 new areas.  ShoutboxOnly accessible through navigation bar. Temporary communication, 20 shout max before scrolling away. Guests are allowed. Guests/Members encouraged to self-police and scroll away any doxxing or offensive material as you see fit. Guest ForumAccessible through navigation bar and 'Community' Sub-Boards. A forum to allow guests to interact with members. Guests can reply and create new threads & polls. Unlike the Shoutbox, posts/threads are permanent and can be any length. Guest posts are quarantined until approved by moderation. Newbie Comic Book QuestionsAccessible through navigation bar and 'Comic Books' Sub-Boards. A forum for newbie comic collectors to ask questions from the veterans. Guests are allowed, but guest posts are quarantined until approved by moderation. Please start a new thread for each question. |
