Hi there, my son is into these, I admittingly don't know much about them - looking for a little assistance!
for his b-day I have the chance to get him a SS amazing spider-man 362 newstand edition 9.8 signed by stan lee and m bagley for 300
or a 9.6 SS 700 signed by Stan Lee, D Slott and H Ramos also newstand edition for 350.
Is there one that you would say yes go with this over the other - a cooler comic, more collectible more unique?

Hey, welcome to the boards! You have a fortunate son. For me, this is easy, #362. I think it’s a much cooler yellow cover (unless it’s the 2nd print - silver) and it shows both Venom and Carnage(very popular with Spidey’s readers). Not sure which #700 you’re considering(there’s 3 or 4 by Ramos), but I don’t consider any of the Ramos choices to be particularly strong compared to Bagley’s in this instance.

The Martin variant appears to be the most signed copy of that book. Just signed by Lee? There are not many of those around. The last and only sale for 2019 was $525 of July of last year. GPA says I paid $250 for mine in June of 2015. Someone paid $287 in March of 2018 as the year's low. The 2018 high was $825 However, it gets tricky once you add signatures... there is one with Lee, Wein, McFarlane, and Conway that sold for $515 last year. Lee and Slott sold last year for $485 Just realized I should cut and paste Martin Variant Cover / Signed by Lee / Rubinstein / Romita Sr / Michelinie / Conway / Bagley / McFarlane - $525 / 2019 Lee / McFarlane - May 2020 - $585 They can be had for a little more than the OP is looking to spend but the trick is running into them with the signatures you want. I am keeping mine with Stan and just Stan... no need to clutter it up. |

The AF 15 and Doc Ock covers don’t excite me. Yours is nice as is. |
