, yeah I think most of came to the same conclusions pretty quickly. Even the articles they post up seem contrived. Does anyone know who posts articles on Gocollect??

The “bylines” on their blogs have at least a half dozen different contributors credited. I’m not sure if I ever knew who oversees the whole operation.

They're pumping the 2cent articles out, pimping the t-shirts and membership sales. That's solid marketing strategy right there

Years ago I asked George at GPA to consider carrying CBCS prices since they were an up and coming brand and George didn't think it was going to happen.
GoCollect has filled a void that was missing in the market.
I spoke to one of the owners at a show and they were convinced that they were in it for the long haul. Their marketing strategies definitely are a big push for market dominance.
I use both them and GPA but I'm a little more used to GPA's layout. But with GPA not carrying CBCS prices in think Go Collect fills a much needed hole.

I have to say, I do look at them as well for pricing, I know there are flaws, but generally it's useful information overall for a quick price gauge on a book. And I'm glad to hear they're in for the long haul. I'm glad to see any authentic expansion to the collecting side of the comic books.
