 , yeah I think most of came to the same conclusions pretty quickly. Even the articles they post up seem contrived. Does anyone know who posts articles on Gocollect?? |

The “bylines” on their blogs have at least a half dozen different contributors credited. I’m not sure if I ever knew who oversees the whole operation. |

Years ago I asked George at GPA to consider carrying CBCS prices since they were an up and coming brand and George didn't think it was going to happen.
GoCollect has filled a void that was missing in the market.
I spoke to one of the owners at a show and they were convinced that they were in it for the long haul. Their marketing strategies definitely are a big push for market dominance.
I use both them and GPA but I'm a little more used to GPA's layout. But with GPA not carrying CBCS prices in think Go Collect fills a much needed hole.

I have to say, I do look at them as well for pricing, I know there are flaws, but generally it's useful information overall for a quick price gauge on a book. And I'm glad to hear they're in for the long haul. I'm glad to see any authentic expansion to the collecting side of the comic books. |
