A short 4 episode series from 2019. First episode is mostly Iggy Pop talking about MC5 and how he got started in music. Commentary mostly focused around the origins of “punk” by Wayne Kramer, Jayne(Wayne) County, Sylvain Sylvain, Marky R., and Rollins. 2nd episode touches on the founding of Punk Mag with John Holmstrom and the Sex Pistols impact on Britain and America with lots & lots of Johnny Lyndon and CBGB’s. Media reaction is addressed and we hear briefly from Flea, Don Letts, Thurston Moore, Joan Jett, and others. Looking forward to watching the second and last two parts with Rollins, K. Morris, and Ian McKaye

Considering how involved he was, it's mostly the Ian McKaye story for the first 45 minutes.

While watching the Doc they had some seriously early grainy VHS recordings of shows. 9 year old Evan came in and I said "Look at this mosh pit, it's crazy dancing, this is what Dad and Uncle Dave used to do". He said "Dancing? I thought that was a crime scene." He cracks me up

Bad Brains and Scream could be in the conversation, and no one knows who SOA or Teen Idles are, so they don’t count.
