I found this thing on my computer machine where I put a name into a google box and random info appears about the person. Seems Mr. Perkins is primarily known for his time as Cap's artist during Brubaker's run. He's also got credits with Caliber, Dark Horse, CrossGen, DC, and 2000AD. His name also pops up on Spidey & FF, but I don't recall those offhand. He's done a bit of inking as well, but I didn't look into him any further. What I found amusing about this particular thread was I had seen Stelbert's post about Veronica's shorts in the WLT and my mind wandered off thinking about how DeCarlo would push the envelope in giving his female characters sex appeal. That led me to thinking about Jeff Shultz who mimicked DeCarlo's art so well in the 90's it was difficult to tell them apart. This led me to recalling a thread on the old Archie forum where someone asked "Is Jeff Shultz real?" as he had no online presence(2010 or so). This reminded me of Allison Flood whose only art credits are as an inker for DeCarlo and disappeared after Shultz came aboard. Some thought Shultz was Flood, but I think it's more likely that all these "people" are pseudonyms for Mike Perkins.

I spent the afternoon with Mike Royer today, and he talked a little about Mike Perkins. He said they talked at times, being set up next to each other, and Mike mentioned he is a Farscape fan. Perkins said he's friends with one of the actors (can't remember who- I didn't watch the show- but the actor was at the con), and some time later returned with an autographed photo for Mike.
Later after one of the shows, Mike was having a drink at a nearby bar, and Perkins showed up, taking a seat near him. Mike asked what he's drinking, and Perkins said, "No, no. I'm buying your drinks."
It was good to hear the "newbie" treating the "dinosaur" with respect and perhaps appreciation.

Mr Perkins sounds like a cool guy I was a huge Farscape fan back in the day and it's still one of my all time fav shows. I'd be interested to know who the actor was, just out of curiosity. I couldn't see anyone on the guest list.

There may have been a bit part character referred to as "Chief" but it's been several years since I watched it. The main male characters were Crichton, Crais, Ka D'argo, Scorpius, and Stark. Ask Mike to show you his autograph

If the autograph wasn't from one of these, the phrase "starting at $0.99 on eBay" springs to mind.
