I am just laying it out there, Im mentally capable to learn but have never found time to get into comics. Im needing someone to point me in the right direction to b able to learn value and reason for worth at the same time would be interesting, in its self not even taking the chance to learn some of the greatest stories ever told and looked over as nothing would be stupid if you ask me. im about to start loading pics in the next 20min trying filter them now

Seriously though, are you asking for instructions how to post pics of your inherited comics?

Try Imgur link It's free and easy. You upload your images to their site, and each one gets a code that you copy and paste here. Patience is the first advice I'd give. The hobby is rife with new collectors who dive in head first, and often get ahead of themselves. For example, if you were hoping to put books up on eBay by the end of the week and wanted to learn about valuing comics; Too much of that kind of impatience tends to cause 'veteran' collectors to lose interest in helping, and I'm sure everyone here would enjoy trying to help someone who truly wants to learn wisely. As far as making it interesting... For us that starts with buying the comics we like to read. I don't get the impression anyone here sees their personal collections (keepers) as money before seeing them as entertainment, but there are undoubtedly people out there who do, and build these collections up of 'valuable' comics intended for sale. There are people who have keepers, but also have a stock of comics intended for selling- Often this money funds their keepers. There are people who collect only, for value or enjoyment or both. The ones who collect for value ABOVE enjoyment are at a higher risk of disappointment, especially the ones dubbed "speculators" (the ones who continuously build and sell a stock of the hottest comics of the year month week day). If the hobby 'crashes' tomorrow- Meaning all comic values drop dramatically- I'd still love my collection, but "speculators", assuming they have little appreciation for comics past their value, will be stuck with them. For them it's a VERY long game of Hot Potato, and the ones who pay $100 for a book they hope to profit from are at the highest risk of getting burned. By the way, what brings you to this particular hobby?

@ notyou4207 - Welcome to the forum! Siggy's Tar Dust said things best in the above post. Most of us would be happy to help in a variety of ways, but there's no single shortcut for learning about comics and what their potential worth on the market is. I'm someone who enjoys the hobby primarily for stories, then the art, themes, characters, etc. Value is really a secondary concern only if I'm trying to get that particular book, or if a book is receiving sudden or unusual interest in the market. Currently variant covers have a large potential upside, but that's also a gamble as to which ones will get "hot" and being able to get copies while the prices are still climbing and haven't plateaued. You'll find many moderns go up in "value" due to speculators selling them to other speculators, and so on.
