Again? The Bronze Age is filled with these "Variants". Besides. I wouldn't completely trust the validity of any reported errors for anything made from this year on.

Here's my opinion, for what it's worth...
Color variations from the printer are as common as dirt. They are, quite literally, just part of the printing process. No one used to care until someone started calling them variants and expecting a premium price for them based on their supposed 'rarity.' Color variations aren't in the same league as other printer errors, such as printing an airplane upside down on a stamp (Inverted Jenny).
Retailer exclusives are now as common as dirt.
I really wouldn't expect these premium prices to hold up in the long run. Hey...I could be wrong, but there's no logic behind it other than 'the greater fool theory.'

I like the bluer shaded example in every copy I ever see, going back to the BA. More pleasing to my eye.
