This is the universal discussion thread for all Marketplace forums. Please use it to keep all the Marketplace forums clear of unnecessary discussion. For transaction issues, please use the Probation List & Discussion thread.

If a member is on Probation, or in the HOS, and they decide to have a sales thread, will providing feedback/warning to potential buyers in the sales thread be allowed?

I saw this in the rules:
The same rules that apply to TCBF apply to the Marketplace. Please read them HERE.
As a reminder, this means: - No nudity or pornography - No illegal substances and drugs - No gambling - No buying, selling, or trading of firearms or weapons
Do these rules only refer to the cover of the comic?

Excellent question. Things are going to be done a little bit differently here than what you guys are probably used to on other forums; specifically, the community here will have real power. The number one goal of the Probation List will be to encourage members to honor their transactional obligations, as this is in the best interests of everyone. If the community places someone on the list, they will be expected to move heaven and earth to make that happen. If this means dropping everything else to ship some books, or finding a way to earn or borrow some money to pay off a debt, then that's what they need to do - no excuses. As such, they shouldn't have the free time to be chatting on forums, or entering into new transactions. So, after someone is placed on the list, they will automatically lose 99% of their forum privileges. When they log into their account, the only thing that will be visible and accessible to them will be the Probation/HOS area. The only abilities they will have will be to reply to the Probation Discussion thread, and to use the Private Messaging system. It will therefore be impossible for them to ignore, and the only way for them to earn their forum privileges back will be for them to honor their obligations.

Another question, will current probation list and HOS members from the other forum be grante eligibility to this forums PIF?

Another question, will current probation list and HOS members from the other forum be grante eligibility to this forums PIF? I'll leave all that up to you guys to decide. My goal was to get PIF up and running, and I've learned that too many rules at the beginning can kill a game or a sales/trading forum. I think the best way to get PIF off the ground right now is to invite friends and people you know and trust from other forums to come over here and participate. But if someone asked my opinion, I'd say no Probies or HOS members from other forums. Of course, that wouldn't deter someone from using a different identity here. Here's one of the rules I put in the PIF Hunt game for you guys to think about. Again, you guys are in charge of the rules, this is just something I came up with as a possibility.
