Any Batman fans?
I am thinking of getting the HC edition of Dark Knights Metal but not sure. I really liked N52 Batman by Snyder & Capullo and bought all of the original HC's as they came out. So the main DKM book contains issue #1-6 of the main title but not any of the other crossover related issues...are those important to understand the whole story? Do I really need to buy the several other related collected editions out there? Also, I bought All-Star Batman v1 but still need to get V2-v3 by Snyder and I haven't yet read the first volume...are they worth getting??

I'm a big Batman fan, not quite a Batman reader though. I have all of the Metal books, but unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to read them all so I'm probably not a big help here. I guess in my old age i lose interest rather quick so if I have to wait 30 days for a book to read the next chapter of the story then I usually just wait for the story to end so that I can read the entire story without waiting for the new issue to arrive. Unfortunately, by the time the last book comes out I usually lose interest. Sucks being a geezer.

I do the same thing Fiddy, I am always buying books that I never get around to reading. When I was younger I read everything I bought immediately and repeatedly. Maybe I appreciated comics more back then because they were not as easy to come by and I had limited funds.
I didn't start reading Batman N52 by Snyder until it was nearly finished and I binged read it within a few days.

I was pretty selective on what I bought and read back then, but now I tend to buy books just to continue collecting the series.

Stu is the person to ask about DKM. I stopped reading Batman at Rebirth. As for All-Star, I gave up after volume 1. I loved the art (awaits backlash) but Miller's writing was far too tongue in cheek. Some humurous moments though, e.g. the lemonade.

Oh man, DKM. I'll have to find that thread we were talking about it in. I thought it was so bad it was good. Batman with a baby Darkseid in a backpack? What? If you can get it cheap...

It does sound crazy Stu. I watched several YouTube videos with reviews on DKM trying to decide if I want to buy the Hardcover edition. I think I will pass on this because I am already buying too many Trades and Hardcovers as it is.

When Stu mentioned this before, I have to say it was the only reason I would have any interest in that story
I would much rather reread a long forgotten old story or find one that I'd not read before.

It turned out to just be a throw-away scene and had nothing to do with anything!
