I can only imagine the thrill of all the unread stories kids would find in these piles each visit. I never experienced this, but recall how cool it was when one of the secondhand/antique shops I’d lurk around would have a few comics mixed in with the Nat’l Geographics, old Life’s, TV Guides, etc.

Can I take the easy one’s on the right to start? Mad Magazine #121, and if both Sad Sack Army Life’s are the same I’ll go with #21 as the font is a darker blue on 21 than 20 background is pink on 20 and 21 is that generic blue/gray they used on covers so often.
Edit : also Outer Space #1. There was only one issue.

Here's an enlargement and crop of the newsstand. Those Mads sure don't fit in the comic slots!

Is that a foreign reprint she's reading? No. Ah, thanks. The whole logo and title/issue# look weird.

Nice group of books on display. Not sure what my budget might have been, but I couldn’t get out of there without at least 7 or 8 of them. Laugh #100 and Archie’s Joke Book #46 are fairly easy to spot, as was Sad Sack #96 with a large Muttsy in the corner. I just missed getting this book a couple weeks ago because I was screwing around on some message board. It had one bidder. Anyone know the title of the comic just to the right of the guy’s head?
