Interesting video. I always wondered what types of material professional restorers used on the books. I thought pro restoration is removable so I was surprised to see him use a fine point marker to color in the spine. If the spine was original and a marker was used to color in the missing spots would that drop the grade down the amateur restoration?

If the spine was original and a marker was used to color in the missing spots would that drop the grade down the amateur restoration? I think that's a really good question. I wish one of the restoration guys would start a thread over here and periodically show their work.
