Went to a garage/moving sale in my town today that said comics in the ad. Didn't go until after 12 however and that's usually too late. But the guy hadn't brought them out yet so I guess I got first dibs. It was some pretty well-loved stuff from the 90s for the most part, some ASM were among the highlights. A So Much Fun variant too, I don't see too many of those, not sure if they are very collectible.

I think for completists those are collectible. I’ve only seen a couple beat up copies, but I don’t actively look for them. You’d think the Archie’s in particular would turn up in a random lot on eBay. Nice find.

Went to the local flea market today, bought some comics. Okay, a little more detail. I usually skip the weekly flea down at my town's commuter rail station parking lot because it's the same old people selling the same old junk all the time - think rusty tools and clothing that looks like it was stolen from outside of the charity bins. However, this time there were a few sellers with a few long boxes to look through and I was lucky enough to find about 40-50 issues that were either 2 for a buck, $1.00 or $2.00 each. I got about a dozen newer Valiant issues including two first printings of the Divinity mini-series (I hoard this series and buy them for reasonable whenever I see them); a copy of Bloodshot 3 from the Acclaim reboot - first Chainsaw if you saw the Vin Diesel movie; three issue Bone mini-series called Stupid Stupid Rat Tails; a few of the copper/moderns I buy for sets - Maximum Carnage, X-Cutioners Song, Phalanx Covenant, etc., etc. Plus I found an issue of Ectokid which I hear is being made into something, a couple X-Factor issues signed by Peter David for $.50 each, etc., etc. Nothing too exciting but I'm happy.

This is not an exaggeration...

Targeted two sales today that said comics in the listing, but came up empty at both. The first was a garage sale with just a short box of modern stuff, nothing worthy. The second was a tag sale inside the house but nothing worth buying despite being first to get to the comics. There were just a handful of Dells and Gold Keys, plus three random pulps that were pretty trashed. Breakfast at the diner after was pretty good.
