I certainly welcome a new "shut up" meme, but want casual comic readers to understand the panel by itself is out of context. Sue is being controlled/manipulated by the Hatemonger here. This isn't Stan Lee's FF any longer, and when Byrne came aboard Sue was on her way to becoming the most powerful member of FF. Just because the FF comic is no more, I can't let it's history go the way of the Dodo. Which makes it a perfect parallel to the Batslap meme. World's Finest Comics #153 is an imaginary story where Bruce thinks Superman killed his father. It's filled with all kinds of dumb stuff. This is what happens right after Batman slaps Robin... You read this stuff, and then you consider its context, and you HAVE to come to some interesting conclusions: 1. The writers were just trying to see who could come up with the stupidest, dumbest things that Weisinger and/or Schwartz would let see print... 2. It's NO WONDER AT ALL why Marvel Comics became the powerhouse that it did.
