So, this seems to get asked at every other forum but I don't see it here yet, so... How many comics do you currently own? What is the most you've ever owned, if not the current number? What's your favourite title? What's the longest run of books you own? My answers: I currently have between 700 + 750 comics, the vast majority of them being X-titles of some sort. The most I've ever owned at once would be in the 3200-3300 range. My fave - everyone knows, but if you don't, Uncanny X-Men. I have the shoulder-patch tattoo to prove it! My longest run RN? It's between (adjectiveless) X-Men (later X-Men Legacy) and Wolverine (vol. 1). Pretty sure it's X-Men, I have from #1 to 224, I think. I had a longer run of Uncanny (#94 to 472!) but have since sold a lot of the early books and a few keys in between the beginning and end of my run (266, natch). Let's hear yours!

Just saw this thread.
1. I have about 50 long boxes, so times 250 is about 12,000 comics. 2. Same as above. 3. Dang, that's hard. Probably titles I read as they were published, like Transmetropolitan, Preacher, Archer and Armstrong, etc. When I was younger it was John Byrne X-Men and I loved Jim Aparo's Brave and Bold. 4. X-Men #2 - 150, I don't count the reprints. Green Lantern #1 - 89, Brave and Bold #100 - 200. Other modern runs are easier like Preacher and Transmetropolitan # 1 - 66, Sandman # 1 - 75, etc.

Really? No one??? I'm counting Jee- zus! How many comics do you currently own? A little over 4600What is the most you've ever owned, if not the current number? Same as above. I have a collection rather than an inventory, so it's ever growing. What's your favourite title? That's a tough one as my mood determines my answer, but pretty much ASM and Avengers for the Silver Age, and the Cosmic titles from the Bronze and Copper. What's the longest run of books you own? The longest consecutive unbroken run is The Savage Dragon #1-126 (From Mike Royer's personal collection). Once all the gaps are filled, the longest run will be ASM (#1-#365). The closest run to completion is The Avengers (five books will finish #1-#200), and will most likely be the first run goal I'll accomplish.

Keown and Frank nailed the hugely- yet functionally muscle-bound anatomy (please forgive the OOC). I just didn't care for the pretty boy look Frank brought. I understood the attempt; Some might ask, "Why would he be handsome just because he's 'smart'?", and I'd figure Hulk's immeasurable rage would distort anyone's face into something grotesque. So it does make sense, but I thought Keown did a better job keeping just enough of the Hulk in his face. I thought Frank's anatomy looked more functionally believable. YOMV

How many comics do you currently own?
-somewhere in the neighborhood of 1600-1700
What is the most you've ever owned, if not the current number?
-In the ballpark of 3500. Two long boxes were full of small press/self-published/ & mini comix and another box of music fanzines. I never really counted any of those.
What's your favourite title?
-Probably Fantastic Four.
What's the longest run of books you own?
-Marvel Team-Up #1-#50. I'm missing random issues of series like FF and ASM. I started getting trades/Essentials/Showcase type collections as it just seems less complicated and ultimately I want to read the stories more that have an original copy of everything. I'll read most anything, but my interest really lies in Bronze and Silver.

So I have # 1 - 225, which has got to be the longest run I own.

YOMV Yeah, Frank's style at first was a little too slick for me, it was like John Romita Sr was drawing the Hulk inked by Terry Austin. I liked when he started getting more detailed, like Corben or John Severin. More like this:

I really like what his style has developed into, I have the two recent Batman GNs (Elseworlds) that he and Geoff John's did, great stuff.
