Did you manage to find him today? I thought you probably would have a map but mentioned it just in case you didn't have access to a laptop. I find floor plans and mobile phones aren't that compatible. I know what you're saying about not bothering well known celebs/artists when they're off the clock. I've seen a few around London and always let them be. Ooo,ooo, who were they? I never see anybody famous so I like to hear other's stories. Like when Ditch said he jammed with Jerry Garcia I was envious even tho I would never want to jam with him No one really worth mentioning Mainly just comedians that no one's heard of outside of the UK and musicians on time off before gigs. Oh and Sir Bradley Wiggins.

I did find Vigil's booth, and bought drawing he threw in a 'collections' book, signed. He has a real dark style about him, and many of the sketches were borderline X rated. The drawing I bought (big monster emerging from the water on a beach, approaching a couple babes) also had a surprise on the back. Will show when I return home. I bought one of those awesome Artist's Editions for Thor from Tom Kraft's Kirby Museum. Since they're full size prints, this this is YUGE! Much bigger than the other Editions I have for 70s books. Looked like Starlin and Staton were gone, but I did get Ron Wilson and Keith Pollard to sign my place card. I'll get Mike to sign it soon. At this morning's Kirby Tribute Panel, Paul S. Levine was one of the guests. When the panel was finished and I approached the table to talk with Mike and Louise Simonson, waiting for Mike to finish, I saw Mr. Levine's name card still on the table. I grabbed it and asked him to sign it. He was very important in helping to fix SOME of the many financial wrongs committed against JK. All the Kirby panels were fantastic. It's hard to describe the pure love and appreciation for this Master's career AND life. Solo many great stories of his kindness towards fans, familiar or stranger. Some of these people honestly choked up retelling their stories. It was something I'll always remember. I got Barry Geller to sign my Kirby souvenir book. I was wrong when I said Mike had a book signing in Tom Kraft's room. Tom brought dozens of full size Lord Of Light prints , and had a photographer record Barry and Mike signing these limited edition sets of 14 pages. And I didn't take a single pic. Since they were recording it (whether I survive the editing or not remains to be seen), I thought maybe it wouldn't have been cool to do so. There were some exciting discussions and ideas thrown around, and one really got Barry's juices going. I can't say what, of course, but after witnessing his awe over JK's L.O.L. art, even to this day, I wouldn't be surprised if he actually makes it happen. Stay tuned... I'm exhausted.

Only purchased a Neal Adams profile sketch of Ra'al Ghul today (I really hate his prices), but spoke with him for a while. I was behind him for a while going back to the Marriott's. I left him alone. I saw Keith Pollard at the elevator, but left him alone too. They were off the clock, and I'll see them tomorrow anyway. Saw a couple Rich Buckler page I might pick up tomorrow. Mike threw me a 'shout out' at his panel this morning. I'm not ashamed to say I thought that was pretty effin' cool even though he was [mock]griping that I purchased two pages yesterday that were originally supposed to be returned to him way back when It's sad how often he tells me all the times he was promised portions of the artwork would go to him, but never did. He always got some b.s. excuse as to why the penciller or someone else got what he was due. This probably happens to inkers a lot. Also met Mark Evanier today. I brought perhaps 8-9 books to have Neal sign, thinking his sig fee was $30. It's $50. I put the books away, and never gave it a second thought. I'm not here to support Neal Adams' wallet. I'm here to support mine. If his signature doesn't add $100+ in value to what I'm getting signed...and condition is absolutely paramount...then $50 isn't worth it. Foolish, foolish creators.

They were on his facebook page, but I'm not sure if they're still on it.

Agree 100% 1 Neal Adams sig = $50 ( , $30 for that matter). 3 Len Wein sigs = $15. Neal Adams is a great artist that can't tell a story with his art. $50? Nope. I didn't bring anything for him to sign.

That guy with him is an . Who is that with him? I suspect a handler. Bill's booth was magnificent. He was very friendly. I had a single book....a Transformers #1....and I asked if he was signing, and that guy walked over to me like I was stinking up the joint and said "ok, let's get on with it"...even though there was no one else at the booth, and I only had a single book. There must be something about my face that turns people off. But Bill was fantastic.

Agree 100% 1 Neal Adams sig = $50 ( , $30 for that matter). 3 Len Wein sigs = $15. Neal Adams is a great artist that can't tell a story with his art. $50? Nope. I didn't bring anything for him to sign. BUT...I will say this about Neal: he charges the same price for everyone, regardless of what they plan on doing with their property aftewards. He doesn't charge a stupid-ass discriminatory "CGC surcharge", like Len does, because he "thinks you might be making money off of his signature." It's none of anyone's business what anyone does with their property, and it's beyond offensive to ask. Either sign it or not, charge or not. Charging one price for this, and another price for that, for EXACTLY THE SAME SERVICE...that is, putting your signature on a comic...is discriminatory and built on greed. And greed isn't someone "wanting too much money." No, greed is the manifestation of someone thinking YOU get more more than THEY THINK you deserve. Nothing more, nothing less. A creator goes online, sees something they signed being offered for (insert WHATEVER amount a creator thinks is offensive here), and becomes indignant. "How DARE they make money off of MY signature??" And that, ladies and gentlemen, is greed. They don't understand the mechanics of the situation. They don't have any grasp of the details of why that seller is asking...or, selling...for that amount. And so, they become offended, and the result is what we see today: "CGC? Oh, that will be MORE money. Because I/we think you don't deserve that money. I/we don't care about the details. I/we just see the end results, and am/are offended over our misperception." After all...why does any comic have value? Can a signature on a piece of feces add value to it? No, there must be foundational worth to the item for it to be worth adding a signature to....whether that foundation is monetary or sentimental, that foundation MUST EXIST for the signature to add value. So, if I take the risk of paying Neal $50 to sign a Superboy #148, and it comes back a 9.2, and I was hoping to sell it...I've lost money. Does Neal take that risk...? Nope. He got his $50. He took no risk at all. None of these creators do in signing these books. They take zero risk, but they expect a cut of the reward...? How does THAT work...? In what business ever conceived does a party which accepts NONE of the risk of a venture get to reap ANY of the reward...? And yet, many of these creators are doing that exact thing: demanding a cut of the reward, while accepting ZERO risk. It's a violation of economic principles going back thousands of years. I respect Neal to the hilt for charging a flat price for his signature. I may not be willing to pay it. I may chuckle at his lack of market understanding of the value of his signature. But I will NEVER complain about his right to charge whatever he wants. It's HIS signature, and if he wants to charge $1,000,000, more power to him. I say go for it.
