I learned through reading TPBs that Jubilee is now a vampire. FTS I had my first truly WTF moment years ago when my cousin mentioned the alternate universe evil Beast. They've been running on idea fumes for many years

IMHO, this is the most damaging of all. I am not saying it's the only thing wrong, just the worst offender. I and a lot of others dropped titles either right before or after this happened (and kept happening!) and I believe it was the catalyst for making all these other wrong decisions. Of course, the price point and story-for-your-money are big ones as well, and probably worse now than it was 15 years ago, but I thought it was a bad idea when Marvel took a few core titles and started them over after the Onslaught thing, and applauded bringing them back under the old numbering. Then they started slowly doing away with all the "legacy" books. I knew my beloved Uncanny X-Men was on the chopping block, and couldn't stand to see it happen, much less support it by giving Marvel my money.
I haven't collected comics for over 15 years. And that's because I was a "Marvel zombie", not really buying any other publisher's stuff. Marvel, you did this to me. No one else is to blame. You might very well be still getting $10-20 a month from me (and many others) had you never decided to reboot everything. And then do it again, and again, and again...

This is a really good article. The Real Reasons for Marvel Comics’ WoesI can't speak for everyone, of course, but this is BS. I'm not against diversity, but I am against changing what has been established in the name of diversity. In all the comments they 'heard' during this summit, did anyone mention poor writing and character development? Oh no, that's right, WE are the reason their books aren't selling.

I'd still be pulling 2-3 titles even if the writing/art was bad because of the prior investment and the fact that it's fun to collect comics that way. Change the numbering...do a reboot...I'm out for good.
