A MCS White paged 5.5 Unless there's a lot of NCB wear and/or back cover issues, that looks quite under graded.

Haven't cracked it out yet, so no scan. With nice copies of 23 & 24 already out of the way, the rest should be a piece of cake. And I used to have a CGC 9.4 #14

Hey Siggy. How close are you to completing the run?

Hey Siggy. How close are you to completing the run? At the moment I'm trying to complete the BWS issues, and only need #14 & I think #16 or #17. From there I'll "concentrate" on 25-150.

That sounds like a fun little run. I have several of the issues, i have to dig them out someday from their boxes. I remember when I started collecting that BWS Conan's were key books to get. I knew a guy that supposedly had a long box of Conan #1. I never saw the long box, but a friend of mine was his neighbor and claims he saw a long box of #1. The guy wound up opening up a comic shop in Alameda but closed it down within a couple years to move to another part of the island. I think he closed that store down soon after as well. I bought a nice run of Turoks and ASM from him.

The BWS run of Conan is one of the best. most enjoyable runs in all of comics. It's not pedantic or condescending or illiterate, and you can watch BWS hitting his stride with each passing issue, until right around issue #10, #11, when the fully developed BWS that everyone knows and loves came into being. Each page after that is a feast for the eyes, especially #24, and it's a shame he wasn't willing to do more. It's all just wonderful, and with fun, adventurous stories to boot.

Buscema was very suited to the series, and it's no secret he far preferred fantasy to super heroes...but every BWS page is eye candy, just a wonder to look at in terms of linework, coloring, shading, detail...mmm mmm mmmm....

I was a latecomer to BWS, but now definitely enjoy his Conan pages. I've read the two hardcovers Siggy® posted above and the color pages look exceptional. The first Conan's I ever read were #58 & 60 (A friend had these), and I always associate John Buscema as the Conan artist. The later Buscema/Chan team became one of my favorite artist/inker combos from that era.

Nice group of books! I've always had an affinity for the older Iron Man covers (and enjoyed reading them), mostly the first hundred or so issues and into the Bob Layton era. Some great looking copies there. Also, the IM #29 and FF #104 in particular seem really bright and glossy.

Thanks! I decided to at least collect the first 100 Iron Man's- I agree they look great, and is really the only era I care for. I do LOVE Layton's artwork, but just didn't care for the stories much. The Bronze Iron Man was more fun, and for me that's the clincher.
