Nice Byrne pick ups Thanks Siggy, just got all of these comics in the mail today. I bought the Alpha Flight issues from a CBCS member and the Hulks from eBay.

Nice pick ups. Alpha Flight was my favorite book when I was younger. I was shocked at the ending of #12 and was feeling good when #25 came out, only to get let down a few issues later.

Nice pick ups. Alpha Flight was my favorite book when I was younger. I was shocked at the ending of #12 and was feeling good when #25 came out, only to get let down a few issues later. I was pretty disappointed by it. I was expecting a team book ala Avengers and instead Byrne decided to focus early issues on stories about individual characters and then the killing off of some characters. However, it's been a long time since I read those issues. Way overdue for a re-read

Is Alpha Flight the first super team to employ the traditional male/female/giant/dwarf/non-human formula that Image comics (and now everyone) uses every single frickin' time? I know The Avengers has done it (sans the dwarf character), but seemingly not as a rule.

Picked up half a dozen early Uncle Scrooges today at a local show. Getting closer to finishing my Barks run. Picked up another high grade Weird Western Tales 39. When that Scalphunter movie hits , I'll be sitting pretty. Also found some Glanzman Dell war. Air War Stories and Combat. Jeffro - A big doofus
