Nice book and in great shape! I remember buying this new from the grocery store. In fact New Teen Titans #1 was for sale that same month and I picked that up as well.

I was foolish as well, sold off ALL of my FF's over 20 years ago! I too had many key Kirby issues in nice condition. In the past couple of years I have put together (thanks to eBay) an extremely sharp collection consisting of FF # 155-354 (1975-1991) +annuals and related crossover issues and some Marvel Two-In One Byrne and Perez issues. The 1970's were when I started reading FF and that era is special to me so that seemed to be a good starting point to re-collect. I doubt I will buy any earlier issues due to cost, will just have to make due with trades and digital.

Found for $15. The very first marketed superhero item by Mike Royer, 1968. I'm going to have him sign it in such a way that his sig will be part of the puzzle, but I may want to have it lacquered first in case the lacquer screws up the sig. That's sunlight on the right.

Nice puzzle, but what a weird scenario with Superboy saving a puppy from a bear. I wonder if there is a puzzle out there with Batman saving a kitten from a similar wild animal?

I automatically pictured a picnic or camping scenario. I'll ask Mike, but he'll probably say, "That's what they told me to draw."

And before anyone asks why someone would bring a puppy camping, I don't think it's a puppy, judging by the paws

The line for Free Comics went outside and stretched around the building. No thanks. I brought some of my OO Silver Surfers for Ron Lim to sign (mostly slash page except #75 and The Vault). I, like many, often bought an issue from the rack even though I had a pull list at the time, and I just brought the better looking of the two. I strongly considered bring my Thanos Quest books, but they really didn't have a good splash page area for sigs, and he didn't do the cover art. I was kinda surprised to see how many people wanted him to sign their Infinity Gauntlet #1s. *shrug*

Instead of the free comics I spent time going through their 50% off back issues. I was pleasantly surprised at how flat and white most of the Bronze books are.
