What horse was the featured "character" in it's own comic book(U.S.) lasting more than three years?
Unhelpful hint: It's NOT Quick Draw McGraw or Nightmare(Casper The Friendly Ghost).

I just can't see it as silver. That and Conan for Marvel, cut off dates.Bronze What dates are you using? Conan #1 for Marvel and New Gods #1 for DC? Where would you place new titles from 1970 such as Hot Wheels, Three Mouseketeers, or All-Star Western? Did Batman become BA around the time of #200('68)? Superman seemed to change with #233('71 - Adams cover, Denny O'Neil story). The New Wonder Woman appeared in '68 and hung around until the end of '72 with the "old" WW returning in '73. I always considered this some in-between era, not really falling into either BA or SA. To me BA WW starts somewhere at #205 or later, but certainly by #212's "Twelve Labors" storyline. Curious what prompted the New Gods question?

Curious what prompted the New Gods question? The New Gods came around because I found that nice copy in my uncles boxes and decided to post a pic.Trying to contribute more comic stuff you know?I was going to post it elsewhere too,and thought bronze-but some might say silver? To me,Marvel is when it turns 15cents.DC I guess the same, but always somemoutiers in any case, right?Like FF SA ended with Kirbys run,for myself. Hot Wheels and others I sort of think as ageless. All Star Western vol 2-bronze.Fully with Batlash, then Hex? Off topic a bit,but this one is on my want since we're talking WW WW and Supes-no opinion other that price.Edit-most of my WW books are from what I consider bronze-the fifteen cent that always seem to have bondagey covers On the other hand,House of Mystery I see as easing into nronze with 174-a 1968 and twelve center. Always some oitliers, but New Gods seemed to be moving in a distinct new direction, and is bronze, dammit.Conan too. What issue featured a Conan tryout?

The Conan tryout was the Roy Thomas story in Chamber Of Darkness #4.
I appreciate the comic book related contribution. It's always nice to have some of that!
You're right about there being outliers. I see the transition of DC's from SA to BA as occurring slowly, almost title by title over several years, whereas Marvel moved much quicker. I suppose Marvel having fewer titles (and writers/artists) going into the later 60's is the reason for that.
WW's cover themes during her first 35+ years are certainly interesting when viewed as a group. I don't believe it's far fetched to consider how the covers represented and reinforced traditional ideas about gender.
