And I'm wondering if you're the only one who's seen this, Ditch I'll take a look at the covers when I get back from lunch.

Amazing Spider-man #395, Web of Spider-Man #36, Avengers #96, FF #119, Hulk vol II, #108, Thor #338, Captain America #109, Iron Man #7, Daredevil #64, Sub-Mariner #38, X-Men #42, Strange Tales #80, Tales to Astonish #61, Tales of Suspense #35, Astonishing Tales #9, Doctor Strange #176. What do these comics have in common? An interior artist was also a cover artist on each?

My wife and grandson will be returning from California shortly, so I'll give one last big clue, and will reveal soon after. If you look at these comics on the Grand Comics Database galleries, you'll have the answer.

I was going to say it appears they may have uncredited contributors but I don't think that's right.

The covers were pencilled and inked by the same person.

Nope. Ditch already tried that If you look at each series in the GCD galleries, you'll see that each of these issues mark the use of a new cover title design.

The covers were pencilled and inked by the same person. Wha' choo talkin' 'bout, Willis? That was my guess for the cover trivia question. We had been talking last week about artists inking themselves so this occurred to me. I checked the Avengers book and yeah Neal did the inks too. I checked Thor 338 and Walt did the inks, and I checked a couple more, but I guess it was just a coincidence. I was too lazy to check all the covers.
