Never heard of it until today, so I watched a video on it. I can say that in 50 years I have never seen anybody play that game in the Tri State area. (CT, MA, RI, not NY). I think we would've gotten into a lot of trouble with that game . If we had 4 people we'd play wiffleball or tennis baseball (a baseball game inside a double wide tennis court; hit it out of the court' you're out) We played a lot of handball too, usually against a wall at the nearby school. Handball I'm familiar with from TV, but have never seen anyone play it here. I did take racquetball as a PE elective in college And I've never seen any boys play softball around here, that's for when you're older and fatter

I thought I brought it up before.Tennis ball, usually thrown at the outside gym wall.If a person touches the ball but not catches it,they have to run and touch the wall before another player picks up the ball and hits the wall with it.An out to this is if you catch the others persons throw off the wall before it bounces, hits the ground. If you fail in this, the person that threw the missed ball is the shooter. You stand against the wall and shooter has three goes to nail you with the ball.Another variation is blue balls.Depends what way you face the bricks.

Now I remember. No, we didn't play that. At school we played Dodge Ball inside when it was raining.

Never heard of that either. We played kickball in memorial school.

I remember getting a few winter hardened tennis balls in the kisser and other choice spots.

I might have missed some of these because I was playing real sports at the time Inner city school,so no ball diamonds or sports fields, and bringing anything nicer than a hand ball was a good way to get it stolen. What's memorial school?

What's memorial school? Man, that sucks. No parks nearby? No tennis courts? No ice rink nearby? Memorial school is middle school. I went to memorial school up to 6th grade, junior high was 7 and 8th, then high school.

Oh,so the name of your school, like elementary?Ours was kindergarten to grade eight, all in one big post war building-1947-pretty large.Long term beefs and friendships really formed,I started there second grade. We had access to a DIY ice rink in winter, but just below school property,so it was only a special outing thing. There's a big,big field area with play structures and divided into group areas, one to three seperated by a retaining style wall,up there the middle kids up to six played, bigger structure and more fields behinf the school for the older kids. It's built on a hill,so no real good place for soccer, football.Just the five hundred meter circle track that we'd goof of on,maybe play red rover, throw konkers, chestnuts at each other. We did have two full sized gyms, one of them with that deSade looking contraption that folded to the wall, with climbing ropes, ladders whatnot. But since it was like fifty feet high, even in the eighties they were scared to pull it out and let us use it. Last I walked by it,the school was surrounded with twelve foot chain fences,to keep kids in and folk out.
